What is my first step?

Please contact us with your contact details and a good time to call you. From there, we will set up an initial visit. Generally, an overview of your insurance information is helpful to line up treatment. EDCMT’s billing manager, Jean Elam is available to help finding out about your health insurance benefits and the out of pocket costs associated with attending the program

Email Jean at jelam@edcmt or call her on (773) 230-8771

Will I have to take time off work or school to attend the program?

The IOP schedule requires a minimum of 6-9-hours of attendance (depending on your insurance carrier) and most patients are able to select from both day-time and evening-time sessions in such a way that allows them to participate in programming while still going to work and/or school. Occasionally, adjustments do need to be made within your schedule and we will do what we can to assist you in the emotional process of requesting schedule changes from your employer or your school. The PHP schedule requires a minimum of daily 7-hours of attendance.

What if I already have a counselor, nutritionist or doctor?

We will collaborate closely with your existing counselor, nutritionist, physician, nurse practitioner, etc., however, under certain circumstances, we may require that you work with a dietitian and psychotherapist within our treatment team for the duration of your treatment at EDCMT.

How many weeks will I be in the program?

The program is individually tailored to meet your needs. We will do our best to advocate for you with your insurance carrier to allow you as much time as you may need to be covered in our program. Patients can expect to spend between several weeks and several months in our programs.
