Adolescent Treatment

At EDCMT, parents and caregivers are central to the recovery process. Our adolescent programming is informed by Family-Based Treatment (FBT), an evidence-based approach that empowers caregivers to take an active role in restoring their child’s health.

Parents receive ongoing guidance, coaching, and education to support meal planning, supervision, and interruption of eating disorder behaviors at home. Through regular family sessions, caregivers are equipped with practical strategies to challenge their loved one’s eating disorder, maintain a unified approach, and provide both structure and emotional support during recovery.

We recognize that this role can be challenging. Our team works closely with caregivers to build confidence, reduce blame and uncertainty, and create a clear, collaborative plan that supports sustainable recovery across settings.

We’re here for you and your family. If you’re unsure of the next step, call us and we can help.
