Jesse Fister, PhD

Psychotherapist

Dr. Jesse Fister is a pre-licensed clinical psychologist under post-doctorate supervision with Dr. Christina (Tina) Donaldson. Dr. Fister earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, emphasis Depth Psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2023. His training emphasized psychoanalytic approaches to psychotherapy, with his dissertation focused on the intersection of psychoanalysis, philosophy, and ecology. His MA was in Transpersonal Studies, emphasis Leadership and Conflict Transformation, with an undergraduate in Theatre/Drama.
Dr. Fister has a long history of social work with people with disabilities and at-risk youth. His internship training focused on Native American youth in Montana, outpatient treatment curriculum development in Arizona, psychoanalytic training in California, and accessible treatment for people experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, and trauma in Colorado. He is relieved to be back in his home state of Montana!
Dr. Fister is committed to excellence in his clinical work with a deeply human approach to therapy, attempting to reduce patient suffering by means of a healing therapeutic alliance. His philosophical interests help him to validate patient realities by addressing structural and systemic factors in pathology. He is committed to the vision and purpose of EDCMT and inspired by its deep and masterful approach to treating Eating Disorders in the community.
