Jeni Gochin, LMFT, LCPC, CEDS
Clinical Director

Jeni is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Professional Counselor licensed in Montana and California and she is an International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). She co-founded EDCMT in 2013, with a vision of making comprehensive treatment and a recovery community accessible to Montanans. She obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. She is trained in Somatic Experiencing ®, has completed a Core Training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, and is a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy Provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.

Jeni has been treating individuals and their families in the field of eating disorders in intensive settings since 2007, and loves being part of the transformation that occurs as patients become free from the grips of eating disorder symptoms and related concerns. Born and raised in South Africa, Jeni has had several life experiences, with a platform of design and bodywork; careers that helped her realize her passion to help others reach their full potential of who they are when supported with wraparound care.

Jeni is responsible for the initial assessment and evaluation of incoming patients and also provides individual, group, and family therapy. As Clinical Director, she directs patient care from intake through the course of recovery and ensures the best possible quality of attention is offered to each patient and their family. She is deliberate in her approach to overseeing all disciplines within the treatment team in its aim to assist patients to identify and deconstruct the self-defeating mechanisms that come along with their symptoms and uncover a life-giving and life-affirming experience of their own minds and bodies.
